Stockton Junior U/14's Match Reports
Match reports: April 11th
Leamington Hibernian 1 - Stockton Juniors 3
A poor quality game with the pitch and blustery conditions to blame neither
side played particularly well, but it was Stockton showing superior quality
in front of goal to earn another 3 points to maintain their push for promotion.
Scorers: Clamp 2 and Macauley Phillips
Match reports: 28th March
Stockton Juniors 7 - Balsall & Berkswell 2
Game started brightly with Stockton pushing forward looking for an early goal. Clear cut chances were wasted but went into half time 1-0 up. Balsall came out of their blocks quick and scored an early goal which woke the Stockton lads up and surged forward to put us 3-1 up. Balsall then scored
but that again raised the tempo and Stockton then continued to control the game adding another 4 goals for a comfortable win in the end.
Scorers: Jared 4, Jamma, Nav & Callum.
MOTM: Jared totally controlled the game awesome finishing.
Match reports: 21st March

Another powerful team display from the boys. Arriving at a fine looking
pitch lads just knew it was going to suit them. A first half full of good

Match reports
March 7th, Stockton 7 v Pro Santos 2
Well done to both teams a first half full of chances ended with the teams
tied at 1-1. Second half Stockton took their chances and finished strongly
the away team were always dangerous on the break but started to tire.
Scores: Macauley 4, Jared 2, Pepe 1
MOTM - Macauley - Hard work always pays off well done.
February 14th, Stockton 6 v Coventry Jaguar Youth 1
A very good performance from Stockton ensured all 3 points against a tidy
footballing team - due to a few injuries a few changes were made but
wouldn't have noticed as the team kept their shape and passion for success.
Going into half time 3-1 up the game rapidly changed when two outstanding
long range efforts were scored within minutes of each other. To cap it off
in the last 10 mins Pepe played a short corner to Sean who played it back
sweetly for Pepe to launch in a lovely cross that was powerfully met in the
air by Jared who gave the goalie no chance a fine way to score a hatrick.
Credit to all the lads.
MOTM - James Biddle - Outstanding progress in goal capped off with a mind
blowing save.
Sunday 7th February
Balsall & Berkswell 2 - Stockton 6
Another convincing win in less than ideal conditions, the Lads battled hard
against well organised B & B Hornets team, but quality in depth won the day. On the down side a number of injuries were picked up which depleted the midfield, a strong test of resources for the juniors, but with grit and determination they came through and to top it off by scoring excellent goals. A good team result on a day where the pitch deteriorated as the game went on and restricted playing of good football.
Goal scorers: Macauley 4, Jared1, Warwick 1
MOTM: Macauley - Asked him to score me 3 he scored 4 total quality!!!
Player of the month - Jared Clamp - Awesome
Sunday 24th January
Stockton 12 vs London Road Lions 0
Stockton Juniors kicked off the New Year where they left off - Winning ways.
What more can a Manger say when your team plays as you want them to, totally dominated the game never letting Lions settle. Throughout the game, Stockton played lovely team football, a lot of power play and even when well ahead the team still kept pushing forward
as if they were a couple of goals down a true testament to our lads, they were
awesome. A team performance, well done to all the lads as they all deserves a mention.
Goal scorers: Jared 4, Macauley 4, Pepe 3 and Callum 1.
MOTM: Jared a giant in the middle of the park, his enthusiasm is infectious and deserves all his success with the amount of work he is putting in.
Pinley 2 vs. Stockton 10 - Sunday 5th Dec
A great team performance on difficult conditions on a very wet pitch. The lads dominated the game, playing great football with clinical finishing; even with difficult conditions the football played by both sides was played in Great Spirit a credit to all the young players.
Goal scorers: Pepe 3, Macauley 2, Nav 1, Alex 2, Sean 1 and Aaron 1.
MOTM - Sean totally dominated the play and scored a blinder.
Stockton 12 vs. Mount Nod 0 - Sunday 12th Dec
Building on the previous performance saw the Juniors carry on where they left off at Pinley, with another brilliant performance by the lads, the score says it all 12 - 0 and a clean sheet to boot.
Coach Jose commented "pure class from all the lads".
Goal scorers: Macauley scoring 6, Jarod 3, Pepe 2 and Callum 1.
MOTM: Jarod a man mountain with a brilliant display
14 Nov 09 - Pro Santos 4 v Stockton 1
Pro Santos scored in the first minute then never really got out of their own half. Stockton dominated but due to some outstanding goalkeeping were unlucky to go into half time losing.
Second half the home team again scored early making Stockton push forward finally Pepe scored a well taken turn and shot to put us straight back in the game, but again Stockton conceded poor goals and left us with no points.
Really strange this one we totally bossed the game and anyone watching would have thought we won 4-1. Fair play to Pro Santos fine displays from their goalkeeper and centre half.
7 Nov 09 Vs Binley Woods
Stockton defended well and played some outstanding attacking football during the first half with new signings Sean Hancox and Macauley Phillips coming straight into the first eleven - Stockton took the lead within the first 10 mins Macauley scoring his first goal - soon after Nav Hayer added a couple
goals with some top quality wing play and calm finishing. Pepe quickly added another with a quickly taken free kick about time he scored from one!!!! Macauley coolly added another lobbing the keeper from outside the box after some excellent midfield link up play between the team. 5 - 0 up at
half time. Binley worked hard in the second half and deserved their goal.
Praise must go to the Binley keeper who throughout the game made some top drawer saves. Stockton kept on the attack and added another couple of goals one from the excellent Carlos the Spanish signing and the other to round off an excellent team display was Macauley who impressed all on the day to complete his hatrick. Best team performance this season keeps up the good
work.
Final score Stockton 7 - Binley Woods 1
MOTM - Macauley Phillips great debut
10 Oct 09 Vs Stockton 1 vs Rugby Town 1
Rugby Town have collected maximum points prior to this game, Stockton started well and were a goal up within 10 minutes, a break, away goal finished well by Nav Hayer. Stockton had other good chances but were wasted. Then Rugby decided to wake up playing some quality football throughout and were rewarded with a goal a lovely toe poke that flew into the back of the net after 20 minutes. Both teams competed well with chances even up to half time.
Second half had stale mate written all over it with both teams defending well and found chances few and far between, Stockton had a couple of opportunities towards the end but the score remained the same.
MOTM - Kyle Smith - A fine display
London Road Lions 0 - Stockton FC 2
A very well contested game with both teams playing their part - the home team started brightly and had a great long range effort in the first couple of minutes which was brilliantly dealt with by GK James Biddle an early warning to Stockton which quickly woke every one up. Stockton took the lead after 10 minutes a brilliant bit of wing play by Callum Bell who delivered a wicked curling ball into the six yard box which was neatly put away by the ever improving Nav Hayer.
LRL kept pressing but a great interception and clearance from Jonny Timms looped over the midfield to David Dealtry who powered through and put his goal away with conviction to put Stockton 2 -0 before the break.
The second half was evenly contested with both teamslooking for goals but Stockton came away with the win.
Man of the match - Craig Setchell faultless display.
